Forest Interactive’s Diverse Tech Talents Offer General Assembly Malaysia Insights & Expertise through Educational Webinars

KUALA LUMPUR: Forest Interactive’s diverse tech talents offer General Assembly Malaysia insights and expertise through educational webinars under a New Year, New Me series throughout January and February 2022.

Spanning five sessions across one month, the webinar series aimed to cultivate the interest of both fresh graduates and those seeking to make career transitions in the areas of emerging technologies. Moderated by General Assembly Malaysia, Forest Interactive’s diverse tech talents led the sessions individually, covering technology development, digital creativity, big data and analytics, as well as esports.

Topics include “Techpreneur Takeover”, “Creative Women Chat: Leading Digital Creatives”, “So You Want to Have Big Data Energy?”, “Realities of a Software Engineer”, “Level Up: How Esports is Changing the Tech Game”

Zulikhmal Zulkarnine, Content Creator at FIGHT Esports and speaker for the Level Up: How Esports is Changing the Tech Game session, shared how the esports realm is converging with the mobile industry, given today’s trends.

“Back in the day esports was almost non-existent the industry today is more vibrant and we have better technology that is accessible via our mobile phones. The esports industry has been striving because of these mobile segments. The industry is going well and there’s a lot of potential from the mobile industry itself.”

Zulikhmal, or more friendly-known as Baba, also concurred the emergence of digital technology has helped expand gaming communities.

The ever-growing modern technology benefits businesses, particularly in the way they conduct day-to-day operations to be more productive, cost-efficient, accelerate economic activities, and allow for deployment of new technologies.

Meanwhile, Kenneth Ng, Head of Software Development at Forest Interactive, in his session of Realities of a Software Engineer, shared his view on how spotting the right talent with the right programming language will help businesses in various aspects of their operations.

“All programming languages have their own advantages; it is always a case of picking the right language with the right talents to serve the business. The challenge is to serve the business, whether it is the business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-consumer (B2C) kind of product,” Kenneth noted, commenting that it is essential for programmers to combine business knowledge and practical coding skills.
