#HereForYourHealth: Forest Interactive Goes Pink for Pinktober

By November 13, 2020No Comments

In October 2020, as a continuation of our pandemic-focused #HereForYou campaign, we kicked off the #HereForYourHealth campaign as a support to our talents and to remind them to take care of themselves. Besides observing World Mental Health Day, we also put a spotlight on Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which occurs every October since its founding in 1985.

For the whole month of October, we encouraged our talents to wear pink to show their support in the fight against breast cancer. Wearing pink is a symbolic gesture to stand in solidarity with breast cancer survivors and those who have been affected by breast cancer.

Besides the symbolic gesture, during the campaign,  Forest Interactive’s Corporate PR department sent out internal email newsletters that highlight the importance of regular breast self-checks as breast cancer can be asymptomatic. Early detection is crucial as treatment could be more successful in the early stages. The goal for this internal communication plan with our talents is to remove the stigma and encourage explicit conversations about early detection.

Know Your Bust: Symptoms of Breast Cancer

The internal email newsletters also contained information on symptoms to look out for pertaining to breast cancer, risk factors of breast cancer, and the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle to avoid it.

Breast cancer can affect both men and women, survivors and supporters. Battling breast cancer is no easy job but we can overcome it through courage and strength. At Forest Interactive, the #HereForYourHealth campaign aims to not only shed light on physical health, via Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but to also champion mindfulness and awareness for one’s entire being.
