Malaysian Tech Company Participates at Davos, in the Un-Business Leadership Dialogue at World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2024

DAVOS: Forest Interactive’s Founder & CEO, Johary Mustapha,  joins UN Global Compact in the invite-only UN-Business Leadership Dialogue: Forward Faster to the Summit of the Future, held at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 54th Annual Meeting, themed Rebuilding Trust in Davos, Switzerland, on January 16, 2024. 

The UN-Business Leadership Dialogue is a unique platform that plays a pivotal role in shaping the agenda for the 2024 UN Summit of the Future. Offering global leaders, a valuable opportunity to ramp up ambition and partnerships towards a sustainable future. The event, co-hosted by Sanda Ojiambo, Assistant Secretary-General and CEO of the UN Global Compact, together with UN Global Compact Board Member CEOs, marked a crucial step in fostering global collaboration. 

Forest Interactive’s invitation was based on its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Forward Faster Initiative. Forest Interactive’s commitment to the Forward Faster Initiative highlights its efforts to enhance accountability and transparency, as it publicly declares its commitments and outlines the steps it will take to achieve these targets. 

Representing Malaysia at the UN-Business Leadership Dialogue and attending a session titled ‘The Digital Shift for a Responsible Economy’, Forest Interactive actively engaged in dialogues exploring innovative solutions. The solutions were addressed to pressing global challenges related to climate change, gender equality, financial stability, water scarcity, fair wages, and food security. The organization shared insights and best practices. It also offered perspectives from the tech sector in Malaysia and collaborated with industry peers to share targets that can create positive impacts on the global economy and society.
