Orange Becomes First Telco to Introduce Digital Voucher Platform in Africa as Part of a Joint Operation with Forest Interactive

RABAT: Forest Interactive collaborates with Orange Morocco to introduce My Digital Voucher, a comprehensive on-demand platform that creates, distributes, and manages digital vouchers, fully customized for the subscribers of the mobile operator.

A first for a mobile operator in Morocco, this joint operation is a response to the region’s increasing demand for digital vouchers and growth in the gaming sector. It also marks the success of Forest Interactive’s first telecommunication connection in Africa.

My Digital Voucher is a by-product of Forest Interactive’s Digital Voucher Platform (DVP), featuring digital vouchers for a variety of popular entertainment platforms including:

Gaming

  • PUBG
  • PlayStation
  • Xbox
  • Nintendo
  • Roblox
  • Steam
  • Riot Games

Gift Cards

  • Google Play
  • Spotify
  • iTunes

Through My Digital Voucher, Orange subscribers in Morocco can seamlessly pay for game vouchers and subscriptions with the integrated mobile billing and payment channels, and acquire gift cards that were previously not available to people officially in Morocco. Purchases are done by deducting directly from the top-up, making it a convenient process for users. This also ensures that the users’ personal credentials are secured when making those purchases.

Denominations for the digital vouchers are as below:

  • iTunes: EUR15, USD2, USD3, USD5, USD10, and USD20
  • Google Play: EUR15, USD10, USD15, and USD20
  • PUBG Mobile: 60 UC, 300 Plus 25 UC, 600 Plus 60 UC, 1500 Plus 300 UC, and 3000 Plus 850 UC

“Now is the perfect time to introduce digital vouchers and gift cards that would appeal to the esports players in the region, a number that continues to grow. Access to game vouchers like those on the My Digital Voucher platform are severely lacking in the country,” said Houda Lahrichi, Country Manager at Forest Interactive Morocco. “Forest’s DVP solution for mobile operators is not only a platform to help grow the region’s esports industry, it also provides mobile operators here with ready-made options that are fully customizable, increasing accessibility for all.”

Additionally, Forest Interactive has also secured a group contract for the DVP implementation across 27 countries, mostly in Africa. This decision came to fruition as Africa is lacking in options for payment methods for digital purchases, which is why the collaboration with Orange is the first step for more advancements in the future for the region.

Forest Interactive’s Digital Voucher Platform (DVP) provides mobile operators and content partners the ability to streamline and deliver digital goods directly to users. This also helps mobile operators to capitalize in the demand and generate revenue gains without needing to spend extra resources to build and maintain the platform. Mobile operators will also have the option to choose which voucher they would like to sell on their platform and to white label it as well for integration.
